From Dublin Marathon 2009

Best of luck to all taking part in the Dublin Marathon on the October bank holiday Monday. All the hard work, the long weekend runs, the all weather training, the endless napping, is done so now its only the easy part of finishing the marathon left! A group of about 20 Sportsworld runners will take on the city with another 20 club members volunteering to steward the event and help the 12500 strong field along their merry way. Weather on the day is expected to be dry with light winds and temperatures reaching a high of 12-15C….sounds perfect but don’t hold us to this! Its a great sight to behold so if you’re around Dublin on the day come out and support you clubmates on their epic jaunt. The race kicks off at 9am and a map is available here.

So for those taking part, get the pasta on board, get loads of water in, rest up, best of luck and enjoy!
